Winter Warmth is a time limited project that is offered during the months of winter from first week of November to last week of March.

What is the project purpose?

To identify vulnerable, hard to reach, isolated and elderly people to disseminate information regarding winter warmth project and offer home visit/ befriending service for those who feel they could benefit or would help them to stay warm and healthy during the winter months.

Home visits: vulnerable elderly people are placed on our one-one support plan to be visited on regular basis to ensure they remain active healthy warm in their homes to prevent them from being hospitalised.

Who can use this service?

Anyone over the age of sixty-five residing in Leeds but people in south Leeds are given priority.

How can people access this service?

This is offered as an open service so no pre-booking is necessary and no formal referral or assessment is required. Clients are sought via outreach and working in partnership with other agencies and service providers
