What is the project purpose? The Supplementary School supports young people from diverse backgrounds in a progressive, caring and high quality-learning environment. We deliver academic support in English, Mathematics and Science aiming to raise the standards of achievement within the community. The project also provides a range of other activities to raise aspirations and provides positive opportunities for children and young people that attend the supplementary school, including a homework club, exam boosters, curriculum trips, higher education focus days, holidays programmes, parent workshops and cricket development programmes. Who can use this service? The service is open to all children aged 5-11 years from across Leeds. Parent workshops are run annually open to parents from the local area. How can people access this service? Registration forms for the supplementary school are available from reception alternatively to arrange a tour of the school contact Aisha Rashid on 01132773330 or email aisha@hamara.co.uk Who works on this project? Aisha Rashid – Project Coordinator PGCE Qualified Teacher (Working days Wednesdays/Saturdays) and a team of trained and qualified staff with a wealth of teaching experience.
