Sayyeda KhanSayyeda Khan is a Human Resources Consultant employed by the Civil Service who specialises in complex people issues relating to conduct, discipline, Equality Act 2010 cases and Employment Law. She has a varied career within the public sector that includes investigating and prosecuting individuals and businesses for evasion of taxation and Excise duty. In addition she has worked in Dover, Coquelles and nationally on UK border controls as part of the Anti-Smuggling strategy.
Sayyeda is passionate and committed to Equality and Diversity, developing people and contributing to the society in order to make a difference and change. She has held a range of positions to progress Equal Opportunities, counsellor for Relate, leading and managing/embedding diversity employee initiatives and was a member of the West Yorkshire Local Criminal Justice Board Diversity Panel. She has extensive experience in training people on bespoke programmes for Positive Action for Ethnic Minorities, a residential course for minority groups to develop and reach their full potential. She was shortlisted for Asian Woman of Achievement 2012.
In addition to a full time job Sayyeda has studied part time to achieve BA (Hons), PGCE and MSc in Human Resource Management (MCIPD). Her external commitments include Magistrate for Bradford and Keighley West Yorkshire bench, Operation Nicole/Project Shanaz to engage women on the Prevent agenda, school governor and the Bradford Lord Mayor’s appeal committee.
Sayyeda’s vision is for change within the community and society by motivating, inspiring and developing people with the skills that will empower them to fulfil their aspirations and dreams. Sayyeda communicates at all levels to assist to integrate the community by way of addressing personal/domestic situations to create and build a peaceful future of security, prosperity and opportunity for everyone.
Sayyeda enjoys working with diverse groups and networks to inspire, motivate and develop people to improve their lives. She is a firm believer that opportunities multiply as they are seized and we are a product of the choices we make not the circumstances that we face.
