Hamara to attend BASLA Ceremony in London

Hamara Supplementary School are pleased to announce that they are the national winners of a British School Language Award. HSS representatives will be attending a presitigious awards ceremony in London on the 27th of November to collect the award. The event will begin with lunch and an exhibition at which all schools will have a table with poster boards and the opportunity to view other exhibition stands and chat to other school representatives. The ceremony will consist of a mixture of video clips, demonstrations and of course the handing of awards. The awards ceremony is the launch of Hamara Supplementary School’s new Home Languages Project. As you will see from the video of last year’s event, this award ceremony will be a high profile event, featuring politicians, representatives from Embassies, the media, sport, leading academics and celebrities with an interest in promoting languages. It will be hosted by Huw Edwards the BAFTA award winning BBC journalist, presenter and newsreader. We are very much looking forward to the day, and hope that you are too.
